The Challenge

Blue Health Intelligence (BHI) sells employer analytics, risk adjustment analytics, transparency analytics, and benchmarking solutions to Blue Cross Blue Shield health plans. Each product needs marketing support at every stage of the customer journey.

Our Solution

Rachel Brand worked for BHI as a product marketing manager for three years, producing sell sheets, battle cards, case studies, videos, webinars and web content to build awareness, interest and engagement. She also managed BHI’s involvement in several exclusive Blue plan conferences.

Q. Why is valid and comparable race, ethnicity, and language (REL) data so important?

A. Almost every commercial payer is looking to address ethnic and racial health disparities. The pandemic was a global wakeup call, revealing the true impact of unequal access to quality care and other components of good health. REL data creates a common jumping-off point so that everyone knows the nature of the challenge, on both a population level as well as the individual member level.

Writer, Case Studies and a Book

The Challenge

Baxa Corporation offered a broad range of products, systems, and professional services for almost every facet of hospital pharmacy compounding and dispensing of fluid medications.

Our Solution

Baxa Corporation hired Brand Communications to write case studies about the use of their pharmacy automation products. Brand Communications was also hired to research and write a book about company founder Brian Baldwin.

“To serve this busy infusion center, the oncology pharmacy processes as many as 85 orders a day. For any pharmacy, preparing chemotherapy doses requires adherence to strict protocols so that the cleanroom environment remains clean and uncontaminated – and technicians stay safe – while handling these hazardous medications. Adding to the intensity of this work environment, these compounded sterile preparations (CSPs) are customized for each patient and have a limited shelf life. Further, they can cost thousands of dollars per dose. In fact, the majority of Peninsula Regional Medical Center’s $28 million annual pharmacy budget is devoted to chemotherapy preparations.”
